Tell Me A Story's monthly workshops are designed to dive deeper into what makes a good story for performance -- whether on stage, at work, or for fun. In addition to group discussion and brainstorming exercises, all participants will have the opportunity to get up in front of the class for one-on-one coaching with the workshop instructor.
January's Storytelling 101 workshop meets for two sessions over one weekend. (Note: You must be able to attend both sessions.)
Session 1 is Saturday, January 7th from 10am to 12:30pm
Session 2 is Sunday, January 8th from 10am to 12:30pm
This workshop is limited to 6 participants. The small class size allows for personalized instruction and more detailed story work.
The workshop will cover the essentials for telling a story based on a real life experience. Generate ideas for compelling content, develop your story idea into a structured narrative, and brainstorm ways to heighten the story and have fun telling it. Everyone will leave the workshop with a 5 minute story ready for its next audience.
